Homestay message
My name is Elizabeth, I am a 20 year old Nursing student currently working part time in a Aged Care facility. I am living in my parents home whilst they are working overseas and it feels too large for just one person, so I would like to share my home with two students who are studying like myself. I have a pet cat who lives inside the house. I have a boyfriend who lives in his own home with his family. Because of the nature of my work I work shift work, so sometimes I might not return home until midnight.
I am a quiet person but I enjoy mixing with people and have a great group of friends who I am happy to introduce to you. They sometimes come to visit and we hang out and watch movies together at home or go out places like the beach or to a pub. I don't have large noisy parties at home and I would not want my homestay guests to do so either. A small group of friends is ok though.
My home is a 5 to 10 minute walk to a bus stop that connects with our local train station. It is approximately a 45minute bus trip into the city of Adelaide. The bus also goes to our local shops and to our local shopping mall. It takes approximately 30minutes by bus to get to Flinders University.
I have two single rooms to offer to Homestay students and they would share a bathroom. I have my own bathroom. My home has ducted air conditioning to all rooms and a central gas space heater.
I have wireless internet facility but you would need your own computer. I have a fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
When my parents first went overseas to work i went with them and went to an International School in Bangkok, so i understand the difficulties of moving to another country. Its scary and lonely at first, but then when you have settled in it is great fun.
